Julia is a second-year graduate student at the School of Visual Arts, working towards her Masters of Professional Studies in Art Therapy. Julia believes that art should be accessible to everyone and that it holds an unspoken power of healing. Her prior experience in art therapy ranges from work with children and families, adolescents, adult artists with mental illness, clinical staff, and adults with developmental disabilities and sensory impairments. She has worked in schools and clinical settings. She has also helped curate several client exhibitions and maintains her own art practice as a collage artist. Julia makes personal art as a means to experience and understand the impact art has on emotional health and well-being.
