Hollis holds her Master’s degree in drama therapy from New York University and her B.A. in medical anthropology and theater from Princeton University. Hollis is a registered drama therapist and an adjunct faculty member in the Pratt Institute Fine Arts Department. Hollis integrates playful expression, role identification, and improvisation into her therapy sessions with adults and children. Clients working with Hollis can expect to feel an increased sense of self and purpose, and in the process of therapy itself discover freedom and acceptance. She has worked with a variety of populations in different settings, including adults and teens at Monte Nido's Eating Disorder Treatment Centers, military veterans from the arts organization De-Cruit, and kids and adolescents in schools and detention sites for The Animation Project. Before she became a therapist, Hollis worked as an actor and teaching artist and developed a unique improv curriculum for various arts institutions including Pratt Institute.
