RegisterWomen in Midlife: What Clinicians Need to Know About Supporting Women Through and Beyond Menopause
This course will explore the unique challenges of women in midlife in relation to the menopause transition. Until very recently, menopause was not spoken about, not researched and not treated, leaving women to suffer alone. Therapists are untrained to support women through this transition. We will review the symptoms of menopause, understand the unique stressors women experience at this time in life and talk specifically about how these symptoms will show up in your practice. You will learn how to direct women to quality medical care and support women in their medical and mental heath journey. We will also discuss the ways companies are taking advantage of this population and learn how to help women advocate for themselves and not get taken advantage of.
