Using Your Own Music and Imagery for Self Discovery

This interactive course will use music and imagery to demonstrate aspects of the Continuum Model of Guided Imagery and Music (CM-GIM)—a model that combines music and drawing to help us connect with our inner resources and strengthen our sense of wholeness. In this workshop, we will explore and experience CM-GIM as a powerful tool for self-discovery with the incorporation of your own or your client’s music choices.

This 2 CE online event is offered by the LCAT Advocacy Coalition as a fundraiser for ongoing legislative advocacy in New York State to increase access to the creative arts therapists and to protect the rights of current clients who depend on insurance to access these therapies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify 2-3 musical elements that can help them find music for music and imagery from their own music library
  •  Practice using 2-3 pieces of music in combination with drawing to demonstrate therapeutic self-discovery and insight
