Avni is an art therapist who draws on imagination and creativity to help clients understand themselves, build resilience, and navigate change. Avni believes therapy is most effective when it meets people where they are, and she strives to create collaborative spaces where clients feel affirmed and able to explore their experiences without fear of judgment. As a queer South Asian therapist, Avni uses an intersectional framework centering culturally informed, identity-affirming care. Art is a way for us to imagine what change could look like.”

This picture is something that matters to me

Connection is important to me. When I feel stuck inside myself, it helps to reconnect with the world around me through art, play, nature, and community. I believe healing happens relationally, through shared care and being witnessed by others. I see the therapeutic relationship as a space where we can build trust, try on different roles, and move toward self-acceptance and understanding.
