“Art is the meeting ground of the world inside and the world outside.”  —Elinor Ullman

This picture is something that matters to me

I was invited to design this mural based on meeting with residents living in a  New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) building right after it was built in 2023. Each new resident chose a plant species that had personal meaning whether it was from their country of origin or flora that they felt a meaningful connection with. These plant and botanical species were then incorporated into my design that was then enlarged into a 60 feet by 100 feet ! mural.  Now, each day tenants get to see this medley of botanical and plant life that describes who they are where they came from.
